Los Realejos once again kicks off the annual Canarian pilgrimage calendar in Tigaiga with its special commemoration honoring San Antonio Abad. After the Eucharistic celebration in the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de La Concepción, featuring songs by the Guayacsanta Folk Group, followed by the traditional pilgrimage walk where folk groups and impromptu musical gatherings provide the soundtrack while accompanying the saint's image among decorated carts and adorned pivas, in a heartwarming reunion with the islands' popular culture, complete with excellent local gastronomy and wines.
